it's been a while round up

Hello!

So nice to see you again! I had originally planned to share all of these goodies at the beginning of summer…. then summer happened :) A chunk of time in Sweden chasing my two little boys around the garden and daily dips in the lake got the best of me. Here we are though! It’s August and fall is right around the corner. This is always a special time - the brink of a new season and new opportunities.

I figured I’d still share what was on my mind a few months back. These are some of my absolute favorite pieces (while more summer inspired) and are worth highlighting any time of year. Fall has officially begun! It’s been a hot minute since we’ve done a round up (thank you summer hiatus) but we as we transition into a new season we figured it’s the perfect time to share some goodies on our list. Starting to get that September/October itch to change things up around the house in prep for crisper weather, gluttony and lots of cozy time.

stockholm favorites

Stockholm is one of our favorite cities — the food, the people, the archipelago, THE SHOPPING. It’s really what dreams are made of. From fashion to interiors, Swedes seem to be born with an innate knack for design. On our recent summer trip to Sweden, we snuck away from the kids for a few hours to hit some of our favorite spots. If you’re planning a trip to Stockholm or if you’re simply in the mood for a little online shopping, we highly recommend checking these amazing shops out:

Betón

One of our absolute favorites for timeless, unique children’s clothing is this gem called Beton Studios. Muted, yummy color palettes, quality pieces — you’ll want to take it all home. Not to mention, their founder also started her own line of clothing called Façade and as you might guess, everything is adorable.

Grandpa

Grandpa. Another classic spot. They’ve got a tip top selection of the coolest clothing for both men and women, and a fun assortment of home goods. Could spend lots of time perusing this store :)

Stockholm (Surfboard) Club

A newer brand to the fashion scene, Stockholm Surfboard Club is the epitome of cool. Walking into their store feels like you’ve happened upon a secret, 70s disco club. We can’t get enough of their clothing and love that this brand is still somewhat under the radar. We will definitely be coming back to do more damage the next time we’re in Sweden.

Esteriör

Bursting with color, it’s impossible to walk of out Esteriör without wanting to infuse your home with more personality and pizazz. Such a great assortment of unique home finds from cool brands like HAY, Ferm Living, Klevering and Bornn. Definitely come here for the color and funk!

june - summer roundup

June 1st! The day that always feels like the start of summer even though it technically doesn’t begin for a few more weeks. It’s also our Jack of All Trades - my husband Per’s birthday so it’s an extra special day around here :) Similar to our previous roundup, this month we’re making note of a few of our favorite items for summer. Some we have and love, others are items on our wish list, but they all embody what summer is about: heat, fun, rest, and rejuvenation.

It’s that time… the time of year we take a moment to appreciate all of the amazing things the mamas in our lives do for us: Mother’s Day! spring 2021 mantra

Spring.

One of our favorite times of year. Our orange tree is blossoming, many weekend trips to the nursery and sunny days lie ahead. It’s also an inspiring time to do a tried and true spring clean. As I go through my own home to purge, donate, and simplify, I’m reminded of why it’s so important to bring things into one’s life in a mindful way. So much of our world has become about consumption that it’s easy to get caught up in wanting more…and more…and more.

So if you need it - I definitely do sometimes, here’s a little reminder: you are enough and your life is beautiful exactly how it is.
